Groups are held with all of the current clients and at least one counselor or therapist and forms a cornerstone of treatment. Serenity Gardens offers a wide range of educational and thought-provoking classes that address different areas of one's recovery including coping skills, relapse prevention, process groups, substance abuse education, and more. We value the importance of facilitating a safe and comfortable space for every client to be able to freely express themselves.
Individual Counseling and Therapy
We want to be able to understand our clients and let them have time to reflect about their treatment. Our counselors and therapists will regularly meet one on one with each client and use the most appropriate method to guide each client in their treatment. The content of the meetings depends on the stage of treatment and style of treatment that works for each individual. In individual therapy our counselors have enough time to understand the needs of each client and guide them through the most appropriate treatment.
It is essential to not only assist the individual, but the family as well. We help the families and loved ones gain a clear understanding of the disease and of their loved one suffering from it. The loved ones that the client surrounds themselves with have a great impact and influence on their life of the client, which is why we at Serenity Gardens find that the loved ones of a client play a vital role in the client's treatment and recovery process. The immersing of family involvement is one of the most important components of a successful treatment experience. The client and family will meet for a private family education sessions weekly with our LMFT on staff. Side Note: In addition to seeing the clients during family education sessions, family and loved ones will also be given the opportunity to visit their loved one in treatment every Sunday to enjoy quality bonding time accompanied by homemade refreshments.
Recovery Based Meetings
Our staff at Serenity Gardens understands that every client will connect with different approaches to treatment. With that being said, we expose our clients to an array of recovery based outside meetings for them to attend in order to find a recovery fellowship that works for them, and that they can continue to attend post-treatment to help support them in their ongoing recovery.
